When is ABMS Conference 2017?
September 25-27 at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago, IL.

Who should attend the Conference?
ABMS Conference 2017 offers a wide variety of sessions applicable to Member Boards, hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, specialty societies, and continuing medical education and continuing professional development communities.

How do I register?
You can register online, or contact Jill Bokalders, Director of Meetings & Events, at (312) 436-2625.

How much does registration cost?
Register before the end of day on July 31 to take advantage of Early Birds rates of $275 for ABMS Member Boards staff and $595 for general attendees. Starting August 1, regular registration rates will be $350 for Member Boards and $695 for general attendees.

What is included in the registration price?
Registration covers all plenary sessions and your choice of breakout sessions, as well as the Poster Session and Exhibitor Reception on Monday evening, the evening event on Tuesday, and breakfast and lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Who qualifies for the ABMS Member Board discounted registration rates?
The ABMS Member Board discounted registration rate is available to individuals working for one of the 24 ABMS Member Boards.

What forms of payment are accepted during the registration process?
Registrants may pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or Diners Club. Invoices are available by request and may be submitted to Jill Bokalders.

What is the nightly group rate at the Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel?
ABMS is pleased to offer a special rate of $279 per room, not including applicable taxes.

How do I make a hotel reservation?
To take advantage of the group discount, please make your hotel reservations during the Conference registration process.

Who can I talk to about special hotel room needs or dietary restrictions?
You will have an opportunity to indicate special needs during the registration process, or please contact Jill Bokalders at (312) 436-2625.

Can I make changes to my existing registration and/or hotel request?
Yes. Upon completing your registration, you will receive a registration confirmation email. Above the grid with your registration information, you will see an 11-digit confirmation number as well as a link to your registration. Please use this link and confirmation number to modify your registration and/or hotel accommodation request. 

Can I cancel my Conference registration?
Yes. Refunds, less a $150 administrative fee, will be given to individuals who cancel prior to September 8. After September 8, no refunds will be given.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
There are several transportation options available that can accommodate any budget. Please go to Hotel & Travel for more information.

How can I submit an abstract for the Poster Session?

What is the dress code at the Conference?
The dress code is business casual.

Does ABMS Conference 2017 offer CME credit?
ABMS will not be offering CME credit for the ABMS Conference 2017.

ABMS Conference Mobile App

How do I get the mobile app for ABMS Conference 2017?
Conference attendees will receive an email from support@crowdcompassmail.com. The email includes instructions and a link to download and activate the app on your Apple or Android mobile device.

When you first open the app, if you are presented with an “Allow notifications” option, choose Allow to get important alerts and reminders during the Conference. It may take a couple minutes for your personal schedule to show up in the app when you first log in.

If you have trouble downloading or logging into the app, please follow these steps:

  1. Look for the email from support@crowdcompassmail.com, using the same email address you used to register for the Conference. If it’s not in your in-box or junk folder, contact abmsconference2017@abms.org so we can re-send your invitation. Be sure to provide your name as you registered.
  2. Using the mobile device you will have at the Conference, open the email and follow the instructions. If you can’t access that email account on your mobile device, we recommend forwarding the message to an email account that is on your device. This will make the “Verify Account” step easier.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email message to download then verify the app.
